Dr. Chantal Skjonsberg
Dr. Skjonsberg graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College on Prince Edward Island in 2018. She was born in Alberta and spent over 20 years in the Maritimes before settling in Ontario. Dr. Chantal practices small animal medicine exclusively with an interest in ophthalmology and diagnostic ultrasound. She loves all creatures great and small (even reptiles!), but has a special place in her heart for cats. When she isn’t working you can find her tending to her garden, out on the water kayaking, or sipping a hot mug of tea and reading a book. |

Dr. Dorothy Kitchen
Dr. Dorothy Kitchen is excited to be joining the team at Grenville-Dundas Veterinary Clinic. A lifelong animal lover, she shares her home with two senior yellow Labradors and has dedicated her career to caring for pets of all ages. After graduating from the University of Guelph in 2002, Dr. Kitchen spent most of her career in the Ottawa area, where she grew up. She values building lasting relationships with clients and their families, and especially enjoys supporting pets through every stage of life. In recent years, she has developed a special interest in palliative and end-of-life care, helping senior pets live their golden years with comfort and dignity. She has also worked at Claire Place Veterinary Hospice and continues to provide in-home euthanasia services with Compassionate Crossings Vet. With more than 20 years in practice, Dr. Kitchen still loves what she does and considers it a privilege to support the human-animal bond while helping pets live happy, healthy lives. |

Dr. Enise Decaluwe-Tulk
Dr. Enise grew up as a city kid in Toronto, before studying in Guelph for her BSc and receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the Ontario Veterinary College. She has been practicing in Eastern Ontario since 2021, initially in rural mixed practice. In the last year, Enise shifted her focus to small animal practice because this is where her heart is. She joined the Grenville-Dundas Veterinary Clinic team in October 2025, and looks forward to making connections with the people and pets of Kemptville. As much as it was the animals that drew Enise to veterinary medicine, it was the people too. Although she likes a bit of everything, Enise’s professional interests include: point-of-care ultrasonography, wound care, pain management and senior pets (especially senior dogs!). Outside veterinary medicine, Enise enjoys crafting (sewing, embroidery), doing yoga, tending to her vegetable garden and travelling. She has a rescue dog (Halifax), a cat (Handsome), as well as a small flock of laying hens. |

Emily
Veterinary Technician Emily joined our team in the fall of 2025 after graduating from the Veterinary Technology program at the University of Guelph – Ridgetown Campus. Growing up around agriculture and all kinds of animals, it was only natural for her to find her way into veterinary medicine. When she’s off the clock, you’ll usually find her cuddling her cat, Gingerbread, diving into an art project, or jamming to her favourite songs. Fun fact: Emily volunteers with her local agricultural society and plowmen’s association, and even served as Fair Ambassador in 2023. |

She lives with her husband, their daughter, and three cats (Millie, Hiccup, and Norman). Outside of work, she loves gardening, being active, and traveling. |

Maddie
Veterinary Assistant Maddie joined the GDVC team in March 2024. She graduated with her Veterinary Assistant diploma back in 2023. Maddie has always had a huge love and compassion for animals of all shapes and sizes. Maddie was born and raised on a dairy farm outside of Winchester, which taught her many life skills that she now puts to good use. She has always wanted a hobby farm and now has her little funny farm consisting of two mini pigs Otis, and Rosie, two Nigerian dwarf goats Oliver and Dexter, and Duke and Duchess the cats.
